  • Perian, ce module qui se glisse dans les Préférences Système du Mac, vient d'être révisé par ses développeurs. De nombreux bugs ont été corrigés, et le support de Snow Leopard est annoncé pour cette version 1.1.4. Pour rappel, Perian permet de lire dans Quicktime des fichiers audio et vidéo qui ne seraient pas lus par défaut. Il regroupe différents codecs qui étendent les capacités du lecteur d'Apple, ajoutant par exemple le support des fichiers AVI. De nombreux autres formats sont alors supportés. Pour mettre à jour Perian, téléchargez ce fichier (2,6 Mo) ou bien rendez-vous dans l'onglet Perian des Préférences Système et cliquez sur le bouton Check For Updates. Lire la suite

Ce sont de millions d'utilisateurs (plus de 8 millions) qui sont touchés par cette panne qui serait due à un problème logiciel, mais il ne s'agit pas de la seule hypothèse possible, car la panne survient juste apres un check-up des serveurs. En fait, les utilisateurs n'arrivent pas à changer de statut et passer en mode Connecté. Bien qu'une partie des contacts commencent à nouveau à pouvoir se connecter, établir un appel tient encore de l'exploit.
